I think a lot of us can attest to the difficulties 2020 brought and the impact it had on our mental health. The year I started HC was tough and threw me for a loop. It brought heartbreak, medical school rejections, loss, anxiety, lockdown, uncertainty, etc. 

During that crazy year, I told myself every day to “trust in it”. Whether that be in the universe, faith, the process, my support system, myself… I had to trust in the fact that life was working for me and not against me in those moments. Yes, that year sucked but it also forced me to grow as a person.

Being vulnerable (especially on the internet) is a very scary thing. But I think it is crucial to acknowledge that not everyone is perfect, and that life isn’t perfect either. Asking for help is okay, not being okay is okay, needing support is okay.

This is also just a reminder that you never know what someone is going through, so to always show kindness and compassion towards others.
