TAZ COLLECTION 2022

My grandpa created the beta-lactamase inhibitor called Tazobactam, which paired with Piperacillin, is marketed as the antibiotic for pneumonia called Zosyn. Growing up, I always knew of the medical impact my grandpa had made, but it wasn’t until this past year being in the hospital everyday for school that I got to actually see his impact. The name Tazobactam comes from his love of the Tasmanian Devil cartoon and I currently wear all his TAZ hoodies when I try to “channel” him. Although he made huge strides for the medical community, he will always be remembered for the type of person that he was. He was selfless, kind hearted and constantly strived to help others no matter the circumstance. Everything I do for HC, I do with him in mind. This collection pays tribute to the person I’ll always aspire to be like. This one’s for Dr. Taz.
